I had the opportunity to try the Exfoliating Treatment Mask with Probiotic Technology by TULA that I received free from the Vegas Mommy Meetup in Vegas hosted by The411Mommas. I have to say that I was excited to try their products because I have only heard but good reviews. I did block that out when I tried their Exfoliating Treatment Mask because I didn'twant it to alter my take on the way the product worked for me. I have oily to combination skin which is also sensitive. It makes it hard for me to not only control the way my skin is, but also how it reacts. In addition, I am also in the stage of the aging process. I love to try my best at preserving what I can for the time being. I currently use Bioderma's Purifying Foaming Gel that I purchased in Italy and it helps keep my skin clean and clear without drying it out. I use it with the Foreo Luna Mini to help extract dirt, oil, and bacteria.
When I used the TULA mask, I applied after my shower and just before bedtime so it extracts everything as well as allowing my skin to breathe through the night. While we sleep, our skin is in repair mode so when doing all of our skin care repairs, I try my best to do it at night. Day time is preventative. The texture ispretty common, a nice paste, mud like mask. It has little granules that are just enough for sensitive skin, yet not to harsh. It does have the option to use more pressure to get more of and rougher exfoliation. I applied, let it sit for 10 minutes and with lukewarm water, I slowly massage it away. It lightly exfoliates. Once done and completely rinsed, I pat dry and then I apply my eye cream and moisturizer. I love adding my Hyaluronic Acid Booster by Paula's Choice to my moisturizer after using my TULA mask. It feels like my skin has been pampered by the heavenly skin angels. Heavenly skin angels? Oh goodness. Yes, I just made that up. But, it feels just like that.
When I wake up, my skin feels so smooth, hydrated, soft, and subtle. When I feel my skin is this wonderful, the rest of my day feels just amazing. My makeup application is fantastic, my pores are not suffocating where it feels they need to show the world who they are and that they are gasping for dear life! Seriously. We all go through pore issues. We all go through a breakout here and there.
I absolutely love this product and can see why there is rave about it. It's hard to find a flaw in this, but if I "must", I'd have to say it is the glass jar. Let's be real, I love and adore beautiful packaging. I love glass jars too. But it's not necessary when it comes to skin care. It's not proven to keep the ingredients any more stable than those in a plastic jar. My honest opinion, I really don't care. If someone wants to purchase it in a glass jar, by all means, it's the consumer choice. I absolutely adore the packaging and of course, the contents that reside in it.
