I first received my first Beauty Junkees brush at the Vegas Mommy Meet Up that was hosted by The411Mommas. It was in a VIP Swag Bag that I received and was amazed at the quality of the product. It was a Mini Tapered Brush that I can use for many areas of my face. One, my concealer. I have mature skin so it gets into my nooks and crannies, so I like to call it. The tip is tapered and soft for my delicate skin. I also have hooded eyes so it helps create a shadow above my lid so my eyes can appear open and bright. It's compacted really nicely to give the pigment just where it needs it.
I had an opportunity to review several other brushes that was provided to me to test complimentary from Beauty Junkees. One is the Pro Tapered Blending brush which the fibers were light, soft, and fluffy. It did not feel prickly where it would irritate the as I mention again, 'delicate' eye area. Instead it blended my shadows quite nice without removing all the pigments. Lastly, the brush everyone raves and still raves about is the Flat Kabuki. Wow! Just, wow! The brush was so soft and airy, yet it was compacted and dense enough to give that flawless finish. The tip of the brush was very soft to the touch. I've noticed that it doesn't make me use as much foundation. It spreads, buffs, and quickly. I am a mom, a career woman, and always on the go! I need efficiency in my life. I don't have enough time to sit in front of the mirror putting make up on for hours and hours. Having the proper beauty tools such as these brushes by Beauty Junkees has helped me achieve those looks I want and in a fraction of the time.
In order for me to see the quality of these brushes, I needed to wash all of them. This would help me get a good feel of the brushes after it has met soap and water. I was impressed...really impressed. No shed of fibers and they obtained its shape. Then again, I do use Dr. Bonners organic soap with organic oils. I would only imagine what could be if you keep using harsh soap on "any" makeup brushes. Probably not good, or not good in the long run. The quality of the brushes have a good weight to it with no loose handles or parts. These can stand next to some of the well known expensive brands out there. Another thing I like are the packaging. They are packaged in individual, resealable, durable plastic that can be reused when traveling. I am trying to find something that I don't like with the product and the only area I did not like was the fact that I didn't have anything I didn't like about it. I won't recommend or rave about a product that I don't like and if it is a product that did not work for me, I will clearly state that. The prices are really affordable! Who can argue that?
