UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD - THE WIZARDING WORLD OF HARRY POTTER

August 10, 2017 Jessica Olivia

With such a busy summer, we were trying to juggle time of priority and time of fun. It was pretty hard because a lot of situations were changing, we were completing social media assignments, registering our youngest into her last year of high school along with back to school shopping, working, business trips, and a whole bunch of other personal priorities. We snuck in enjoyment of our free time as it came, and most of it not on camera. We were living in the moment. We did manage to capture what we could as memory kicked in to do so. We had pool time, beach time, baseball game, movie nights, and then our trip out to Los Angeles for Universal Studios Hollywood. We originally had reservations for The Broad and the Griffith Observatory in the beginning of July but I changed my mind. If you are interested in going to The Broad, I have a post on it. Tickets run out, so book a month advance. We are California residents, so we were able to get the buy one day, get the next 9 or 10 months free with blackout dates at Universal Studios. Can't go wrong with that! We really wanted to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

We went on July 15, 2017 and the weather was hot and humid. It made it uncomfortable but it didn't stop us from having a great time. The park was packed but you still had enough space where everyone wasn't in your face. We seen quite some construction going on the park as they will be implementing some new attractions. We spent most of our time in the world of Harry Potter. We loved the Three Broomsticks restaurant. The food was reasonably priced, delicious, and plenty for a family of four and the theme was wonderful. It made it even better when the staff is in character. They make the experience really worth the while. The whole ambiance of the city puts you in awe as if you were really in the movie. The Butterbeer was great but pretty pricey. Give it a try, as I loved it. My kids and hubby weren't a huge fan.

In final, we did get to see the new Nighttime Lights at the Hogwarts Castle. It was about 5 minutes long, but worth the amazing light show. You definitely got to get there early for best seating. I have posted a video of our vlog that just meshed a few summer activities we did together. These are just a few, but it's better than none. Hope you enjoy and thank you all for stopping by!
